Exchangeuk.co.uk has been around since 2001.
We use to advertise Council & Housing association house exchanges until September 2009. Exchangeuk stopped advertising House Exchanges about 18 months ago, we then switched to our other domain exuk.co.uk to advertise Classified style adverts, this stopped September 09 and now has new owners.

How we started
We actually started when there was about one other council house exchange site around this was in 2001, and wanted to help and really make a better place for users to advertise there mutual house swap. To start and test the market we used free webspace and lycos using the name exchangeit. In 2002 we registered the domain exchangeuk.co.uk and moved to a fully driven site and forum. The task ahead was mammoth and took us ages to get established, during this process we had plenty of challenges and goals ahead of us.

In 2004 we then registered another domain exuk.co.uk (the main reason for this was the image) we felt that viewing exuk.co.uk to exchangeuk had a better feel about it at the time.

To sum up we have had 8 years of experience of users swapping there house, and we now continue onwards at exchangeuk.co.uk as an information and resource site for all Council house sites, information for Housing needs, and Housing association authorities, also we will try and slowly introduce links to our new site specifically for Holiday Cottages and Caravans to let, but also Travel And Cruise community forum, travel tips,reviews deals and advice.
