According to the press there has been a drop in the house buying figures for two quarters and in the old days (1980s to 2000s) this would generally start to panic some folk. But with everything financial, there are both sides to this. Although the housing market looks like it has stalled for a while, there will be lots of folk wanting mortgages when they are ready to buy and they will be in a better position to jump. I my case I was looking at the selection of carpets available through the sales office – I accepted a brilliant offer that if I paid for 30oz wool carpet throughout, they would upgrade this at no cost to me. So I had 50oz carpets with free underlay, with discount on the fitting costs. Swings and roundabouts. . . . .
